The Natural Dog Grooming Company is exactly 'what it says on the tin', as the expression goes. We are passionate about the use of natural products on our canine friends; dog shampoos and soap bars are free from SLS, SLES and parabens and scented with dog-friendly essential oils.
We only source products through companies that have the same ethics and vision as we do. In our store, we sell the same grooming products that we use ourselves. Our Beco products are environmentally friendly, sustainable and recyclable. They use natural rubber husk, hemp and recycled bottles to create their toys, as well as natural BPA free bamboo for their dog bowls.
A healthy dog is a happy dog.
What inspired us?
What inspired us?
We, as a family, are passionate about animal welfare. As vegetarians/ vegans, animals have always been a huge priority to us and we have always owned dogs, cats and an array of small animals! Currently, we have a family of six dogs, who are all rescues from either the UK, Greece or Romania.
Jane was first inspired into grooming just over 10 years ago, when her Jack Russell/Terrier needed a good groom but had separation anxiety. She decided to enroll in a City and Guilds Dog Grooming Course so that she could learn to groom and manage her own dog Ted. Jane fell in love with grooming, feeling rewarded by a before and after result and a happy dog, and couldn't think of anything better than spending her days with dogs.
She decided to make a career out of grooming and opened her first grooming salon in 2010. In 2016, Jane began working from home so she could spend more time with her rescue dogs but grooming had sparked further passions, meaning Jane has explored the holistic approach to a healthy dog: nutrition, the art of Reiki (healing), essential oils and herbs.
With an increase in concern globally for our environment, during her years of grooming, Jane has delved further into ingredients used in dog shampoos and products. She was shocked by the number of chemicals that are used in the products that dogs are exposed to. She is now committed to sourcing products that are genuinely healthy for both the dog and the environment. She began to source from small, ethical and family businesses to ensure only the best was used.
Fast forward to 2020, and we have The Natural Dog Grooming Company and where our 'grooming with a difference' was born.
